Ten days ago, MLP:FiM turned four.
I don't think any television series has ever impacted me, or has impacted internet culture as a whole, the same way this one has. Not only did the show itself gain a massive following, but its followers have made a lively and completely self-sufficient culture founded upon it. Each day, deviantART, Derpibooru, Tumblr, YouTube, 4chan (and its derivatives), and several other sites are flooded with thousands of pieces of new pony-related art, music, and literature, and this productivity has kept a steady pace since the time I joined in the fall of 2011. And it's only been four years. People call us the cancer of the internet, and we're certainly not perfect by any means, but I'd like to see their
fandoms try to compete with some of the stuff that our artists, musicians, and writers have come up with. It's amazing what a few technicolor cartoon horses can do.
Anyway, here's to many years of pony-filled goodness to come. Cheers.
